Board of Governors Meeting Sets Ambitious Agenda for 2025-26

In a pivotal move to solidify its position as a leader in higher education, Superior University held its 22nd Board of Governors (BOG) meeting on July 29, 2025, under the stewardship of Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of The Superior Group and founder of the Chaudhary Abdul Rehman Business School (CARBS).

The high-level meeting gathered senior leadership and regulatory officials to evaluate the university’s performance for the 2024-25 academic year and approve a forward-looking strategy that includes significant academic and infrastructural expansion.

Key Highlights:

Academic Expansion: The Board greenlit the launch of new programs, including Pharmacy and Nursing at sub-campuses and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the main campus.

Infrastructure Growth: Approval was granted for a major capital investment—a new sub-campus in Islamabad and the construction of the Superior University Tower, signaling a bold expansion strategy.

Performance Milestones: Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman presented the annual progress report, citing a robust 90% graduate employability rate, advancements in research initiatives, and upward movement in global rankings such as THE Impact Rankings and WURI.

Strategic Budgeting: The Board also approved the university’s 2025-26 annual budget, aligning financial planning with its mission of sustainable and inclusive growth.

The meeting included key figures from Pakistan’s higher education ecosystem, including Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan (Chairman, PHEC), Mrs. Zahida Bukhari (Additional Secretary, Higher Education), Dr. Hazrat Bilal (DG Attestation & Accreditation, HEC), and board members from SAEPN Private Limited.
