Superior University Hosts Industry Experts at Textile Talk Event

The Department of Textile & Fashion Design at Superior University’s School of Art and Design successfully organized “Textile Talk: Beyond the Classroom – Real World Skills for Aspiring Textile & Fashion Designers” on November 29, 2025. The event, held at the Raza Auditorium on the Lahore campus, brought together industry leaders and final-year students for an engaging half-day session focused on bridging academic learning with industry demands.

Featured speakers included Mr. Uzair Wahid, Manager R&D Marketing at Kohinoor Mills Limited Lahore, and Ms. Maria Tauqir, General Manager at Chenone Lahore. They shared practical experiences, current market trends, and valuable career advice, emphasizing the role of innovation, design thinking, and technical skills in today’s competitive textile sector.

The session provided students with insights into real-world challenges and opportunities in textiles and fashion, covering topics such as sustainable design, marketing strategies, and research and development. This interaction enabled aspiring designers to better understand industry expectations and build confidence as they prepare to enter the professional world.
