Superior University’s School of Art and Design recently hosted a vibrant Kite Making Workshop, celebrating the rich heritage of Basant and reviving traditional craftsmanship.
Guided by master artisans and cultural experts, students learned the art of kite making, blending creativity with hands-on learning. The workshop offered a unique opportunity to explore a craft that was once central to celebrations in the region but had been banned for nearly two decades.
More than just making kites, the event highlighted culture, tradition, and community spirit. Colours filled the sky as strings danced in the wind, and students experienced the joy and creativity of Basant firsthand.
