
Superior University, through the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC) and the Faculty of Law, organized the Policy Talk Series: Scoping the Research Agenda for Local Governance in Punjab, bringing together policymakers, researchers, and governance experts to discuss evidence-based approaches for strengthening local governance.
The session featured Provincial Minister for Local Government, Mr. Zeeshan Rafique, alongside distinguished policy experts including Majid Zahoor, Javaria Qais, Dr. Sajid Hussain, Hamid Masood, Dr. Nasir Khan, Dr. Muneeba Iftikhar, Masood Raza Ahir, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, and Usman Bhatti.
The dialogue focused on identifying research priorities and practical solutions to address urban and civic challenges across Punjab. Through engaging discussions and an interactive Q&A session, participants emphasized the importance of evidence-based policymaking, institutional collaboration, and research-driven solutions for sustainable community development.
The event highlighted the critical role of academia in informing public policy and contributing to effective governance. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the session reaffirmed Superior University’s commitment to producing impactful research that supports policy development and community progress.
The event concluded with Mr. Majid Zahoor presenting a commemorative shield to Mr. Zeeshan Rafique in recognition of his participation and contribution to the dialogue.
