
Superior University, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Islamabad, hosted the SEE Global Economic, Entrepreneurship & Investment Readiness Forum at the U.S. Educational Foundation in Pakistan Auditorium, Islamabad, bringing together around 150 entrepreneurs. Including startup founders, ORIC and incubation centre directors, and innovation ecosystem leaders.
The forum focused on strengthening Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating pathways for local startups. Also, researchers to access international markets, investors, and innovation networks.
The event opened with remarks by Ms. Heidi Smith, Director of Public Engagement, U.S. Embassy Islamabad, who highlighted the strength of the U.S. entrepreneurship, venture capital, and emerging technology ecosystem. While emphasizing the potential of Pakistani entrepreneurs and researchers.
Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (SI-MI), Chairman, Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), formally opened the forum and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation within Pakistan’s higher education sector.
A key session featured Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, Rector, Superior University, who presented on “Industry-Academia Collaboration: Challenges, Opportunities and Way Forward.” She highlighted research commercialization and shared Superior University’s journey as an emerging example of transforming research into innovation, enterprise, and economic impact.
American entrepreneur and angel investor Scott Fox delivered a virtual keynote on entering the U.S. market, building investor-ready ventures, strengthening governance, and accessing international capital.
The forum concluded with a networking reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy, providing entrepreneurs, academics, investors, and ecosystem partners an opportunity to explore new avenues for collaboration and global growth.
