The Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry at Azra Naheed Dental College organized a successful dental screening camp at The Lyceum School, where second-year BDS students conducted free dental checkups for 243 students, faculty members, and parents. The initiative provided valuable oral healthcare services while giving dental students practical community experience.
During the camp, participants received comprehensive dental examinations and learned about the specialized services available at Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Dental Hospital. The BDS students also delivered oral hygiene instruction sessions, demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques to promote better daily dental care practices.
This community outreach effort reflects Azra Naheed Dental College’s commitment to preventive dentistry and public health education. By bringing dental services directly to school communities, the college addresses accessibility barriers while providing its students with meaningful clinical experience in real-world settings.
The event successfully combined service delivery with health education, ensuring participants not only received immediate care but also gained knowledge to maintain long-term oral health. The enthusiastic response from The Lyceum School community underscores the importance of such initiatives in promoting dental health awareness.
