Azra Naheed Medical College Celebrates Global Academic Milestone at Johns Hopkins University

Azra Naheed Medical College (ANMC), a constituent college of Superior University, is proud to announce a significant international achievement by Adan Tariq, a distinguished 2nd-year MBBS student. Adan has successfully completed a prestigious six-week research elective in Orthopedics at Johns Hopkins University, USA, marking a transformative step in his clinical and academic journey. This collaboration underscores ANMC’s commitment to providing its students with world-class exposure and fostering elite professional development opportunities within the global healthcare landscape.

During this intensive elective, Adan worked alongside world-renowned faculty in orthopedic surgery, gaining invaluable insights into advanced clinical practices and rigorous research methodologies. A highlight of his tenure was the proposal of a pioneering case-based research project focusing on a rare and complex multi-system disorder. His work examined the intersection of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, fibromuscular dysplasia and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) in a patient undergoing arthroscopy. This high-level engagement with rare pathologies demonstrates the analytical depth and technical proficiency nurtured at ANMC.
