Forging Global Partnerships: Superior University Welcomes UTS Delegation

Superior University Lahore had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), Malaysia, at its main campus. The esteemed delegation included Prof. Datuk Dr. Khairuddin Ab Hamid, Vice Chancellor of UTS; Ms. Datin Dayang Mariani Abang Zain; and Prof. Dr. Tariq Zaman, Associate Professor and Director of the Advanced Centre for Sustainable Socio-Economic and Technological Development, School of Computing and Creative Media. Their visit marked an important step toward strengthening international ties and fostering collaboration in education and innovation.

During their visit, the delegation engaged in a meaningful dialogue with Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University. Dr. Sumaira introduced them to Superior’s revolutionary 3U1M framework, which is designed to empower students to become job creators rather than job seekers. The discussion also revolved around shared aspirations to enhance academic excellence through cross-border partnerships. Dr. Sumaira emphasized Superior University’s vision of preparing students for global opportunities while fostering a culture of innovation and international collaboration.

The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Superior University and UTS. This agreement serves as a foundation for collaborative initiatives, including student workshops, technical exchanges, and joint research projects. By formalizing this partnership, both institutions aim to create transformative opportunities for students and faculty, promoting innovation and academic excellence on a global scale.
