ORIC and School of Media Studies Host Webinar on Safeguarding Research Integrity in the Age of AI

The School of Media Studies (SMS), Faculty of Social Sciences, Superior University, in collaboration with ORIC, is set to host an insightful webinar as part of its ongoing Webinar Series – Session 3, focusing on the critical theme: “Safeguarding Research Integrity: Combating AI Hallucinations and Fake Citations.”

In an era where artificial intelligence is increasingly integrated into academic research, the session aims to address the growing challenges of maintaining accuracy, credibility, and ethical standards in scholarly work. The webinar will explore practical approaches to identifying AI-generated inaccuracies, preventing misinformation, and ensuring the integrity of citations in academic research.

The session will feature Ms. Aamina Mehmood, Consultant at the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA), Government of the Punjab, as the distinguished guest speaker. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Sajid Hussain Zahid, who will guide participants through key insights and interactive dialogue on responsible AI usage in research.

Scheduled for Saturday, 6th June 2026 at 3:00 PM (PST), the webinar will bring together researchers, faculty members, and students to promote ethical research practices and responsible adoption of emerging technologies in academia.
