Students from the School of Culinary Arts, Superior University, Lahore, embarked on an immersive educational visit to Faletti’s Hotel, moving their learning beyond the university’s training kitchens into a live, professional hospitality environment. The visit, facilitated by the Superior Employability Centre, provided a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at the operational rhythm of a premier hotel.
During the excursion, students observed and analysed core aspects of the industry, including professional kitchen operations, live service coordination, stringent hygiene and safety protocols, menu engineering, and the high standards of guest experience management. The opportunity to watch seasoned chefs in action and understand the intricate back-of-house coordination provided an invaluable connection between their theoretical curriculum and real-world practice.
This experiential learning initiative is a cornerstone of the School of Culinary Arts’ pedagogy, designed specifically to shape confident, industry-ready graduates. By facilitating such direct exposure to operational excellence, the Superior Employability Centre and the school underscore the university’s commitment to a holistic, career-focused education. Such visits ensure that students not only master technical skills but also develop a profound understanding of the professional conduct and adaptive thinking required for leadership in the dynamic global culinary and hospitality sector.
