SEP–CMACED Promotes Civic Sense and Social Responsibility Through Awareness Session

The Social Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) under the Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CMACED), in collaboration with the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), organized an insightful awareness session focused on civic sense, responsible citizenship, and social responsibility.

The session featured Mr. Shahid Imran, Deputy Director PHEC, who highlighted the significance of civic values, coexistence, and collective responsibility as essential pillars for building a progressive and harmonious society. He emphasized the role of youth in strengthening democratic values and contributing positively to community development.

Opening the session, Ms. Saeeda Diep, Executive Director, Centre for Peace and Secular Studies, shared thoughtful reflections on peacebuilding, empathy, and mutual respect, stressing the importance of dialogue and understanding in addressing social challenges.

Adding a psychological perspective, Ms. Saira Majid, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, underscored the role of ethical behavior and mental well-being in nurturing healthier individuals and resilient communities.

The interactive discussion encouraged students to reflect on their responsibilities as conscious citizens and reinforced the idea that meaningful social change begins with civic awareness and individual accountability.

Through such initiatives, SEP–CMACED continues to empower students to lead with purpose, responsibility, and compassion, striving collectively toward a more peaceful, inclusive, and socially responsible future.
