Superior IEEE-CS Society Hosts Expert Workshop on Agentic AI for Security and Productivity

The Superior University IEEE-CS Society Student Branch successfully organized a technical workshop titled “Agentic AI for Productivity and Network Security” in collaboration with IEEE Bahria University Islamabad. The session was designed to provide students with practical, cutting-edge knowledge on applying autonomous AI systems to enhance workplace efficiency and defend against cyber threats.

The workshop was led by Mr. Yasir Siddique, a Senior Member of IEEE and a recognized expert in Generative AI with over 15 years of industry experience and more than 200 international certifications. Mr. Siddique guided participants through the core concepts of agentic AI—where AI agents can autonomously perform tasks, make decisions, and manage processes. The hands-on segment focused on real-world applications, including automating routine workflows to boost productivity and implementing intelligent systems for detecting and mitigating network vulnerabilities and security breaches.

This collaborative academic initiative aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by advancing technical skill development, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for high-demand roles in tech, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting knowledge in foundational and emerging technologies. The workshop underscores Superior University’s strategic focus on fostering industry-academia linkages and equipping its students with relevant, future-oriented expertise in fields like cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, thereby enhancing their professional readiness and innovative capacity.
