
The 46th Meeting of the Academic Council of Superior University, chaired by Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, has approved a series of transformative initiatives aimed at strengthening the University’s position as a leading research-driven institution in Pakistan.
A key highlight of the meeting was the approval of the flagship One PhD–One Solution Program, designed to ensure that doctoral research delivers practical, real-world solutions to national and global challenges. Alongside this, a Commercialization Module will be introduced to translate academic research into market-ready innovations.
To further enhance research capacity, the University will facilitate international exposure for young researchers through opportunities in China, while ORIC will support innovation through travel grants, postdoctoral research funding, and student scholarships. The development of the Superior Technology Park was also emphasized as a strategic initiative to advance innovation and industry collaboration.
In a major academic reform, the Council also approved the integration of Artificial Intelligence into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, ensuring students are equipped with future-ready digital and technological competencies.
The initiatives collectively reinforce Superior University’s commitment to research excellence, innovation-driven education, and the 3C Advantage Framework—Character, Courage, and Competence, preparing graduates to lead impactful change and contribute to a progressive and “Superior Pakistan.”
