Lahore, July 24, 2024 – Superior University convened its 21st Meeting of the Board of Governors in the University’s Conference Room, presided over by Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdul Rehman, Chairman of The Superior Group. The meeting highlighted the university’s significant achievements and set ambitious goals for the future.
Rector Superior University, Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, presented a comprehensive annual performance report, showcasing key accomplishments and progress. Among the highlights were achieving 90% of the targets in the first year of the university’s 5-year Strategic Plan, “Soar to Roar,” and attaining a 100% employability rate across 11 departments. The report also emphasized meaningful student engagement, notable achievements in sports, and various initiatives to promote a research culture within the university.
The board commended Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman for her dedication and praised her vision for the future. Her contributions to the 3U1M program, especially the introduction of the “Go Global” stream, were particularly lauded. Her efforts were also acknowledged by the Vice-Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University and representatives from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC).
A new mission statement was approved during the meeting, embodying the Character Mastery Program, championed by Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman. This mission statement aims to ensure sustainable graduate success, reflecting the university’s commitment to holistic student development.
The board also discussed and approved the university budget, with a focus on addressing economic challenges in the upcoming year. The budget aims to support the university’s strategic initiatives and maintain its trajectory of excellence.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to achieving the goals set out in the “Soar to Roar” strategic plan and continuing to provide a nurturing and dynamic educational environment for all students.
