Rector, Superior University, Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, presided over the meeting, which was attended by Deans of all faculties, Directors of support offices and all the important stakeholders from the University.
The Vice Chancellor of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology Multan, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, along with academic experts from other universities, also participated in the meeting.
The council confirmed and reported on the minutes of its 42nd meeting and the performance of various faculties for Fall 2024 was reviewed, while the launch of new programs received approval. The curriculum revisions for engineering, business, arts, and health sciences programs were also approved.
The revisions ensured alignment with global academic standards and industry requirements. The key advancements in medical education, including module sequencing, integrated modular curricula, and online assessment policies for MBBS and BDS programs, were endorsed.
The curriculum framework for PhD and MS programs in Allied Health Sciences was approved. The modified credit hour schemes and elective courses for the MS Art and Design program were also finalised.
The honours criteria, including the Gold Medal and Best Student Researcher awards, were formalized. The President of Student Voice Leaders (SVLs) presented a comprehensive review of student body performance.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous reaffirmation of the commitment to making Superior University the leading institution in the region. The participants pledged to foster innovation, academic excellence, and student-centric growth, setting a clear direction for a brighter future.
