In collaboration with the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and under the auspices of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), Superior University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer 100% scholarships to deserving students under the Punjab Chief Minister’s Honnahar Scholarship Program. This initiative is aimed at students who have secured more than 80% marks, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their access to higher education.
Six private universities in Punjab have been determined by APSUP to participate in the Honnahar Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to talented yet underprivileged students from across the province, offering them the opportunity to study at some of Pakistan’s leading institutions.
The universities involved in this prestigious initiative include:
1. University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore
2. University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore
3. Superior University, Lahore
4. University of Lahore
5. University of Sialkot
6. The University of Faisalabad
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (T.I.), Chairperson of PHEC, Lt General Javed Hasan (Retd), Chief Advisor (Institutionalization and Governance) UMT, Mr. Ahmad Abdullah, Director General of UMT, Mr. Amjad Niaz from UCP, Mr. Arif Aziz, Registrar of the University of Sialkot, Mr. Awais Raoof from the University of Lahore, Pirzada Sami Ullah, Director General of Superior University, Mr. Mudasir Kamran, Registrar of Superior University, and Ms. Zahida, Registrar of The University of Faisalabad.
The Punjab Chief Minister’s Honnahar Scholarship Program will provide 30,000 scholarships to deserving students across the province. This initiative represents a significant effort by the government to empower the youth of Punjab, enabling them to pursue academic excellence and contribute to the country’s future development.
