Superior University’s ETTP Hosts Session on Social Entrepreneurship for Community Development

The Entrepreneurship Teaching & Training Programme (ETTP) at Superior University recently conducted a focused session within its Coach Capacity Building Programme – Spring 2026. Led by Dr. Usman Sadiq, Programme Director for the Student Entrepreneurship Programme (SEP) & Sustainability, the workshop titled “Driving Community Development Through Social Entrepreneurship” provided educators with practical tools to mentor students in creating measurable social impact.

The session emphasised how academic coaches can guide learners to identify real-world community challenges, design sustainable solutions, and launch projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants explored actionable frameworks that move students from empathy and insight to implemented social action, promoting skills in ethical leadership, collaborative problem-solving, and impact measurement.

This training underscores the mission of the Superior Social Entrepreneurship Programme (SEP) to cultivate a generation of socially responsive entrepreneurs. By enhancing the coaching capacity of faculty, Superior University reinforces its commitment to embedding sustainability and community engagement directly into the entrepreneurial curriculum. The initiative ensures that education extends beyond commercial venture creation to include the development of compassionate leaders dedicated to building resilient and equitable societies.
