The Superior Sustainable Environment Society partnered with the CM Punjab Green Credit Program to organize a critical awareness session titled “Climate Crisis: Smog Awareness.” The event educated students on the severe environmental and health challenges caused by smog and emphasized the urgent need for collective community action.
Distinguished experts from the Green Credit Program led the session, including Mr. Tahir Masood Qureshi, Manager Environmental Innovations; Mr. Syed Fahad Hussain, Green Credit Officer; and Mr. Salman Ahmed, Green Credit Officer. They provided an in-depth analysis of the root causes and harmful impacts of smog, from public health risks to economic disruptions. The speakers also detailed the innovative initiatives under the provincial Green Credit Program, which promotes and rewards sustainable practices among citizens, industries, and institutions across Punjab.
This collaborative session served as a vital platform for raising ecological consciousness among future leaders. It directly supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). The initiative reinforces Superior University’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its role in equipping students with the knowledge to drive sustainable solutions for a cleaner, healthier future.
